Online Poker Update – May 24 2011

It has been about 24 hours since the indictments against Bookmaker, True Poker, Doyle’s Room and others was unsealed.  Bookmaker has moved to bmaker.ag , DoylesRoom has moved to doylesroom.ag and True Poker has moved to truepoker.ag.  It seems business as usual for most of the sites although I have yet to locate a new Beted.com website.

Today Merge Gaming announced that they no longer accept new players from Maryland, Louisiana, Missouri or Washington DC.  Existing players in those jurisdictions will be able to continue playing for real money.  Last week Merge Gaming announced the same policy for players in the State of New York.  Merge Gaming also announced that they will be banning all French players in the next 24 hours when a new software update is released.

After the recent domain seizures Bodog has decided to be preemptive and move their domain name.  Bodog.com now forwards to Bodog.eu.  It would appear that Bodog is planning ahead and making sure that their domain cannot be seized.

At this point I cannot locate any U.S. friendly sites that still accept UseMyWallet or QuickTender.  UseMyWallet’s parent company Ecocard had bank accounts seized in yesterday’s indictments.  It would seem now that any funds in UseMyWallet can no longer be moved or cashed out.  Players with money at UseMyWallet now join players on processors EcheckUS, EwalletXpress and poker rooms Full Tilt Poker, Absolute Poker and UB.  All of those businesses have one thing in common, they cannot pay U.S. players because of seizures by the U.S. government.
