Moving to Las Vegas

It took 45 days of headache and stress but finally we are all set to close on our house in Las Vegas.  The process of buying a house is much more complicated now than it was 4 years ago when we last did it.  It looks like we should be moving next weekend.  As much as I love the Black Hills in South Dakota and appreciate all of the great people there it is time to move on.

If you are thinking about investing in the devastated Las Vegas housing market you need to bring patience and a lot of cash.  Loans are next to impossible to come by and most of the houses on the market are short sales or foreclosures, both take a lot of time to close if you can even pull it off.

I look forward to the next chapter of life and look forward to the 24 hour lifestyle Las Vegas has to offer.  I have grown out of the lower limit games in Deadwood, SD.  With a $100 bet limit no limit games are not allowed and there are few with the money to play those types of games anyway.  The town is so small that there are nights that there are no poker games running, especially in the winter.  It will be nice to go out for a poker session and have 57 poker rooms to choose from instead of 5.
