It appears that in the last day or so Cake Poker suspended their Instant Echeck deposit option for U.S. players. When a player clicks on this option in the Cake Poker cashier menu they get this message:
“Please be aware that we are temporarily unable to offer Instant eChecks as method of funding your account. We will have this option available again as soon as possible. In the meantime we would suggest that you choose one of the following to fund your account:
-MoneyLineWallet, funds can be transferred from your bank account
-Western Union or MoneyGram through the Cash Transfer option (funds can be transferred online or at thousands of locations)
We apologise for this inconvenience and will have this option available again as soon as possible.”
This means that there are no longer any U.S. friendly online poker rooms that accept echecks. Carbon Poker stopped offering them before the federal online poker indictments were unsealed. U.S. players may find a sportsbook that accepts echecks with a poker room though if they look around. Sometimes sportsbooks have options behind the scenes that are not openly offered. If a U.S. friendly online poker room offers echecks in the future I will post about it here.
