About Pokeraddict

My name is John Mehaffey.  I grew up in Sandy Springs, GA, which is a suburb of Atlanta.  I started playing poker in my teens.  I figured out that it was a great way to have fun and earn some cash.

As I got older, I realized that my calling was in the poker industry.  I launched Rake Rebate Review in 2004 and sold it in 2006.  It was a rakeback directory, the first of its kind.  It helped rakeback become a household name in online poker.

In 2006, I moved to South Dakota to work for Bonus Whores.  It was a great experience.  I worked with great people and learned a lot about the affiliate business.

In 2008, I started working for Poker Affiliate Solutions, a company I did work for until 2014.  To this day, I am great friends with those involved with that company.

The experience that I gained from PAS, now known as FourCubed, was priceless.  I learned every facet of the online poker industry.

In 2010, I moved to Las Vegas to pursue a brick and mortar career and to give me the setting needed to expand my web content abilities.

I am the founder and CEO of Gaming Content Services LLC, the company that distributes and publishes my content.  All work is copyrighted by DMCA to this company.

  1. I’ve been following your blog since “Black Friday”, you’ve posted some great info, thank you! If you get a chance it would be good to know what the plan is for players to use their frequent player points at Pokerstars. I’ve been playing on there for about 5yrs and amassed a little over 14,000 points. I tried using some of them to buy some things in the Pokerstars store after I cashed out, but they don’t allow it now. I wonder when if ever we’ll be able to use those. Maybe not until the law changes?

    Good luck at the tables!

    • I have been trying to get the FPP info but to this point I have not heard anything. I bought a bunch of stuff from the store shortly after PokerStars banned US players. I have not received anything. The cashout I requested at the same time was reversed. I will keep digging.

  2. John,
